Introduction of Internet:-
                                            Internet stands for international network. The word 'inter' refers to international and 'net' refers to network. A network system is a connected of millions computers to each other in the world. Using this network system we can get different types of information document, files, pictures, software, audio or video files etc. We can also send or received mails (Message, Document files) by using E-mail address. E-mail stands for electronic mail.

• Internet Service Provider(NTC, UTL, NCELL, CDMA, WORD LINK etc.)
• Local Area Network (LAN)
• Internet Line/cable
• Internet program

Basic terms Related to Internet:

Website:-

                Website is the location of web pages created by any organizations, universities and government agencies to provide information regarding them. Like: www.google.com. Each and every website has its own address is called internet address.

Webpage:-

                  Webpage is the collection of information that is stored in the website. The WWW consists of a huge collection of documents with related website called webpage provides vast amount of information of related website.

Home page:-

                      The homepage is the first hypertext document regarding the web address displayed when a user connects to any web server.

Search engine:-

                          A Search engine is a piece of software that looks up information on the internet for you just like a librarian would help you locate looks in a library. It would find the sites with the phrase you ask in a jiffy and it would look up all of the internet libraries for you.

Web Server:-

                       A web server is a site on which the webpage are kept. It is a program that responds to requests from web browsers to retrieve resources.

How to Open Internet Explorer Program?

• Double click on internet explorer on the desktop.OR,
• Click on start button.
• Click on Programs.
• Click on Internet explorer.

How to open any web site from the Internet?

• Open Internet explorer program.
• Then type any website address in the address box. Eg. www.yahoomail.com
• Press Enter key from the keyboard.

How to Open Google website and Search anything inside the internet?

• Open internet explorer program.
• Then type www.google.com in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Type any text (topic) which you want to search in the search box. Eg. Computer.
• Press Enter key.

How to download pictures from the Internet to Computer?

• Open any website and define required picture and right click on it.
• Choose save as picture.
• Choose required location where you want to save picture. Eg. Desktop.
• Click on save.

E-mail (Electronic Mail):

           E-mail is the most widely used features on the internet. You can exchange any message with people around in the world by using E-mail. Even with the multimedia excitement of the web, Electronic mail (E-mail) is the most frequently used application of the internet. Many people who have access to the internet at school, home and work use the internet for no other purpose then to send and receive e-mail.

              It's all very easy. you create the message, log into the internet and send it.

E-mail Address:-

             E-mail address is the location of individual's mail box on the internet. An e-mail address is required to send and receive email. They usually consist of three parts, a user name, an "at" symbol(@), and a domain name for example:- skhokiha@yahoo.com

E-mail Program:

           E-mail program is that program, which helps to send, receive and manage your incoming and outgoing message. Some E-mail program are as follows:

How to create a new E-mail address(ID)?

• Open the explorer program.
• Then type www.yahoomail.com in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Click on create new account.
• After sometimes, we will get a registration from and fill the required information about you.
• Type the verification word.
• Click on create my account.

How to open your E-mail address Account (ID)?

• Open internet explorer program.
• Then type www.yahoomail.com in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Type your e-mail address and password.
• Click on sign in.

How to See (View) your mails?

• Open your email account/ID.
• Click on inbox/check mails.
• Click on your required subject which you want to see/view. Then you can get your mails on the screen.

How to send mail/message?

• Open your e-mail account/ID.
• Click on drop down arrow of new and choose e-mail message.
• Then type your friend's email address/ID in the to box.
• Type your group email address with separated by comma in the CC box.
• Type your required subject in the subject box.
• Type your message in the message box.
• If you want to attach document files or pictures with message, you can click on attach files.
• Click on browse.
• Define required document files or pictures form the computer and select. 
• Click on Open.
• Click on attach files. Then attaching process will start after finishing the attaching process.
• Click on send.
• Type the verification word.
• Click on continue.

How to sign out your E-mail address?

• Direct click on sign out option.

How to change your E-mail account password?

• Open your e-mail account/ID.
• Click on drop down arrow. of Hi............... option.
•  my account info.
• Type your old password.(Password of E-mail address).
• Click on sign in.
• Click on change your password.
• Type your password of e-mail address (old password) in the current password box.
• Type required new password.
• Again type same password.
• Click on save.

How to convert date of birth from Nepali to English?

• Open internet explorer program.
• Then type www.rajan.com in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Click on date converter.
• Define required date of birth. Eg. Baishakh/25/2047
• Click on convert Nepali to English.

How to View exam result?

• Open internet explorer program.
• Then type www.educationsansar.com/ www.hseb.ntc.net.np/www.SLC.ntc,net.np in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Define required faculty, Level, Year/ part etc.
• Type the symbol no. and date of birth.
• Click on view result/submit.

How to download any software?

• Open internet explorer program.
• Then type www.download.com/www.PCtoold.com in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Define required software and click on it.
• Click on download now.
• Click on save.
• Define required location. Eg. desktop
• Click on save.

How to Download audio or video songs?

• Open internet explorer program.
• Then type www.funmaza.com/www.youtube.com/www.worldfree4u.com in the address box.
• Press Enter key.
• Define required audio or video songs and click on it.
• Click on download now.
• Click on save.
• Define required location. Eg. Desktop.
• Click on save.
