Ms. Word Office button

Microsoft Word Office Button(Alt+F)
               It is the main button of Ms. word 2007. It consist of various option such as new open, Save, Print, Print Preview, Exit word, prepare, word option etc.

 New:- This option is used to insert new document.

  • Click on office button.
  • Click on new (Ctrl+N).
Open:-  This option is used to open previous file.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on open (Ctrl+O).
  • Select the file name.
  • Click on open.
Save:- This option is used to save current document file?
  • Type required document text.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on save/Ctrl+S key from keyboard.
  • Type the name of file.
  • Click on Save.
Save as:- This option is used to make duplicate file and changed the location of file.
  • Open required file.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on Save as.
  • Choose required location. Eg. Desktop
  • Click on save.
Print Preview:- This option i used to show/view document before the printing.
  • Open required document. 
  • Click on office button.
  • Choose print.
  • Click on print preview.

  • Click on close print preview.

Print:- This option is  used to print document files.


  • Open required document file.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on Print/Press Ctrl+P key. Then dialogue box will display.

  • Select printer name. Eg. Canon GP200
  • Define required page range.
  • Define required number of copies. 
  • Click on Ok.
Close:- This option is used to close document.
  • Open required document.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on close/ Ctrl+W key for close.
Exit Word:- This option is used to close Ms.word program.

  • Click on office button.
  • Click on exit word/ Alt+F4 key.
#  How to protected document file with password?
  • Open required document file. 
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on save as.
  • Click on tools.
  • Click on general option.
  • Type required password.
  • Again type same password.
  • Click on ok.
  • Again type same password.
  • Click on ok. 
  • Again type same password.
  • Click on ok.
  • Click on save.
# How to open protected file?
  • Double click on protected file.
  • Type password.
  • Click on ok.
  • Again type same password.
  • Click on ok.
# How to Remove password?
  • Open protected file.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on save as.
  • Click on tools.
  • Click on general options.
  • Remove the password.
  • Click on ok.
  • Click on save.
# How to apply mark as final document read only?
  • Open required document.
  • Click on office button.
  • Click on prepare.
  • Click on mark as final.
  • Click on ok.
  • Click on ok.
